Crown Eagle Restoration — Windows & Siding

Hail doesn't stop at the roofline. Your windows and siding take the same storm.

Siding dents, window screen damage, and failed window seals are frequently missed in roof-only inspections. Crown Eagle Restoration documents the full exterior system — roof, siding, windows, and more — in a single written condition report.

The Full Exterior System

A property condition report covers the whole exterior. Not just the roof.

Many exterior reviews focus only on the roof. But weather that affects a roof also reaches every other exposed surface — siding panels, window screens, window frames, trim, and painted or coated surfaces. Damage to these components is easy to miss in a roof-only review.

Crown Eagle Restoration inspects the full exterior system as part of every property assessment. We document siding damage, window condition, and exterior trim in the same written condition report as the roof — giving you a complete picture of your home's exterior condition after a hail event.

"A hailstorm that damages your roof almost certainly damaged your siding and windows too. The question is whether anyone documented it."

What We Document

Six exterior conditions that are frequently missed in roof-only inspections.

Siding Dents & Cracks

Vinyl, fiber cement, and wood siding are all susceptible to hail damage. Vinyl siding dents and cracks under impact; fiber cement chips and fractures; wood siding splits and dents. We document every affected panel with close-up photography and location notes.

Window Screen Damage

Window screens are among the most visible indicators of a hail event — even small hailstones leave distinctive puncture marks in screen mesh. Damaged screens are documented as part of every Crown Eagle exterior assessment and are frequently covered under homeowner's insurance.

Window Frame & Trim Damage

Aluminum and vinyl window frames and exterior trim can be dented or cracked by hail. Frame damage is often subtle but can compromise the window's weather seal and allow water infiltration at the frame-to-wall junction.

Failed Window Seals

Insulated glass units (IGUs) rely on a perimeter seal to maintain the insulating gas between panes. Hail impact can stress this seal, causing it to fail over time. A failed seal appears as fogging or condensation between the panes — a condition that is not always present immediately after the storm but develops over the following months.

Exterior Paint & Coating Damage

Painted wood trim, stucco, and other coated exterior surfaces can be chipped or cracked by hail. Coating damage exposes the substrate to moisture and UV degradation. We document coating damage as part of every exterior assessment.

Fascia, Soffit & Trim

Fascia boards, soffit panels, and exterior trim are frequently damaged by hail and are often overlooked in roof-focused inspections. We inspect every accessible fascia and soffit panel for denting, cracking, and paint damage.

Siding Damage Documentation

Siding damage is real, documentable, and frequently covered by insurance.

Dents in vinyl siding are sometimes treated as cosmetic. Dented panels can have reduced impact resistance and may let water reach the wall at panel joints, so we record where and how they occur.

Crown Eagle Restoration documents siding condition with close-up photography of each affected panel, including the dent pattern, distribution, and any cracking or splitting at the impact point.

We also document the siding profile and color — information that is essential for matching replacement panels, particularly on homes with discontinued siding profiles that may require a full-side replacement to maintain a consistent appearance.

Window Seal Failure

A failed window seal is not always visible the day after a storm.

Insulated glass unit seal failure is one of the most commonly missed forms of hail damage on estate homes. The seal between the panes of an IGU is designed to maintain an inert gas fill that provides insulating value. Hail impact can stress this seal without immediately causing visible fogging — the failure may not become apparent for weeks or months after the storm.

Crown Eagle Restoration documents window condition at the time of inspection, including any existing fogging, frame damage, and screen damage. For windows that appear intact at the time of inspection, we note the hail impact evidence on the frame and screen as documentation that the window was exposed to the storm.

Seal failure can take weeks or months to show. A dated record of window condition helps you track changes over time.

The Full Exterior Assessment

One inspection. One report. The complete picture.

Crown Eagle Restoration's property condition assessment covers every exterior surface on your home — roof, siding, windows, trim, gutters, downspouts, and garage doors. We document every condition we find with thoroughness and precision, whether it is storm damage, pre-existing wear, or items in good condition.

The written condition report we deliver is organized by system — roofing, siding, windows, and other exterior components — so you can see the full picture at a glance. Each section includes photographic documentation and a plain-language explanation of what the condition means for the component's service life.

Findings are included in the complimentary written condition report — no restoration agreement required. It is useful for maintenance history, contractor comparisons, and future reference. Crown Eagle Restoration documents every exterior surface — roof, siding, windows, trim, gutters, and garage doors — in a single current condition of your home.

Preserve.

When the system is sound

Siding and windows with isolated damage and intact seals are strong candidates for targeted repair. We document the case for preservation when the evidence supports it — and explain what monitoring is appropriate for windows with minor frame damage.

Repair.

When damage is localized

Damage concentrated on a specific elevation or window run is often repairable with targeted panel or unit replacement. We agree the repair scope in writing before any work begins.

Replace.

When the system has reached end of life

Widespread siding cracking, multiple failed window seals, or a siding profile that is discontinued and cannot be matched may warrant full replacement. We make this recommendation only when the evidence supports it — and we show you that evidence before any replacement conversation begins.

"If your siding and windows are in good condition, we will tell you that. The report is yours either way."
